Digicomp Releases FormsX 7

Digicomp today released FormsX 7, a major upgrade to the industry-leading software for forms design and prepress productivity. Available as free download to all Digicomp customers covered under Digicomp Software Maintenance (DSM), it provides breakthrough improvements and addresses customer input.

The new release provides full support for QuarkXPress 7 and takes advantage of refinements added by Quark to the flagship application by Digicomp's request. For the Macintosh platform, the new release is a Universal Binary, simultaneously optimized for both PowerPC and the new Intel based Mac systems. For the Windows platform, Digicomp delivers ready-for-Vista compatibility.

New features include a completely new graphics architecture providing breathtaking, anti-aliased drawing across the board to visually present your work like never before. New floating palettes support Quark's palette grouping. Redesigned dialogs boost productivity. Major additions to the FormsX Pantograph feature allow multiple patterns, among others. New Seeking Lines feature automatically finds the perfect places to drop in rules and lines - just click your mouse button to create rule after rule.

The optional SecureX XTreme also received major attention with the addition of the new Custom Voids feature. Now the "Void" words may be placed and edited individually, with distinct font, size, horizontal scale, position, and angle of rotation attributes. Positioning voids couldn't be easier - just grab them with the new Void Edit tool and move them.
